According to the recent GMAC report, the Master in Management (MiM) degree is surging in popularity. In fact, 20% of all applicants to specialized master’s programs applied to a MiM program in 2023. As an early career degree program, a Master in Management is a great opportunity for students or young professionals to gain crucial business skills including leadership, communications, accounting, management, business strategy, finance, negotiations, and marketing research.
Who Should Apply to a Master in Management (MiM) program?
Master in Management programs are ideal options for current seniors or recent graduates looking to secure a more challenging post-graduate role or accelerate their management or business careers. They are also great for those whose undergraduate studies were in an unrelated field and who are looking to enter the business world.
Should I Get an MiM or an MBA?
The biggest appeal of a MiM program compared to an MBA is that MiMs are early career degrees.
So, if you do not have any work experience (unless you are applying to a deferred program, and the great news is that we can help you with that, too), the MiM is going to be the better option. Don’t worry, you can still get an MBA later in your career.
